Proton Inspira ( Replacement Model of Proton Waja )

As we know, Proton has come out with Proton Inspira and it is a replacement model for Proton Waja. It has three variants such as a 1.8-litre manual, a 1.8-litre Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT), and a 2.0-litre CVT.

As the replacement model's codenamed will be P390A based on the current Mitsubishi Lancer. The engines equipped with Aluminium Block and of course it is derived from Mitsubishi Mivec Engine with variable valve timing technology. The car is restyle, retuned and the Suspension System & Handling is tuned by Lotus

The car can be booked today as it will be having a soft launched for Proton Inspira and the deposit will be just RM 1,000.

Fake Proton spare part dealers found out !!

Several dealers in Sarawak are selling fake Proton spare parts by sticking the original hologram label on them to fool customers.

Domestic trade, cooperative and consumerism ministry (Sarawak chapter) director Wan Ahmad Uzir Wan Sulaiman said the tactic was discovered during a joint operation mounted by the ministry's enforcement officers and representatives of Proton Holding Bhd.

In the operation on Thursday, six business premises in Kuching were identified as selling fake spare parts, he told a press conference on Friday.

During the operation, an assortment of Proton spare parts worth RM7,000 were also seized.

Wan Ahmad said, despite using the original hologram label, the bar code used by the fake spare part dealers was however, different from that of Proton. - Bernama

Proton Hybrid Concept car to revealed at Geneva on March 2010

Italdesign will put up one different photo of the new Proton Hybrid Concept that they will be jointly exhibiting at the Geneva Motorshow from the 2nd to 14th of March 2010. Today’s teaser image is quite obviously the projector headlamps for the car. What I really want to see is how the back of the concept car looks like – so far none of the teasers or even the initial full image have revealed this. We might just have to wait until the march @ Geneva to find out more about this concept car by Proton designed by Italdesign.
